The Full Story

Heart Notes Press (Guilford, CT) is the Author Imprint for Joellen Putnam, an Indie author who published Here Comes the Sun: Moments with God in the Seasons of Cancer in 2023. The traditional publishing industry has and continues to evolve at lightning speed which has blocked new authors from entering the field. While Traditional Publishing does offer benefits, quality  writing and messaging is not exclusive to traditional publishing houses. Many Indie authors like Joellen have created written works that have been professionally designed, edited, and formatted according to publishing house standards. They often establish their own Author Imprints to advance their work in the marketplace. 

While Heart Notes Press is currently the imprint for a single author, the vision is to help exclusive Christian Indie authors overcome the hurdles of publishing.  

Our desire is to get the Word out. Jesus is real and relevant, and the world needs to hear authentic stories from real Christians who have an important message to share. What is God writing on the tablet of your heart? Put it to paper and let's tell the world together.
